The Chief Censor has classified the footage as objectionable material, making it illegal for anyone to possess or distribute it. A spokesperson explained that possessing and/or distributing this content is a crime. Police told Newshub they were not aware of this specific upload. Several people shared their reactions to seeing the video online, with one saying, "Thank goodness I didn't see this today, but now I can still see it in my mind." Another person recalled, "I saw the video on the day of the attack. The sounds of those poor people are not something that will be easily forgotten." One individual commented, "Things you shouldn't have to see," while another said, "It started playing and took about 10 seconds to realize what it was.
